The TBpeople Ukraine team responds to every request that comes through the application. "It is important for us that people affected by TB receive the necessary assistance," the organization notes.

In OneImpact Ukraine, every request is verified.

“Every day, people from all over Ukraine contact us through the OneImpact mobile application.  Their requests vary - these are the need for legal advice, the need for psychological support, stigmatization and the like, said the representatives of Tbpeople Ukraine

 – One of the most common barriers is the lack of funds for quality nutrition required for TB treatment."

The application coordinator team analyzes and verifies each individual request in detail. It is very important that people affected by TB receive the help they need.

After verification of the request, people who are undergoing a TB treatment, face difficult living conditions and have not yet been covered by the social support programs, receive motivational support from Tbpeople Ukraine in the form of food certificates.

In addition, a very interesting story happened recently, which became possible due to direct communication through the mobile application.

A man approached TBpeople Ukraine through OneImpact. He complained of poor health, shortness of breath and other symptoms. After receiving advice, the person was redirected to the hospital. Despite suspicions and symptoms, the test results disconfirmed the diagnosis of tuberculosis.

But the man's concerns did not recede, his health worsened and he turned to the application consultants again.

TBpeople Ukraine workers asked for re-diagnosis and encouraged the man to be admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, at the second testing the diagnosis of tuberculosis was confirmed.

It is important to note that thanks to the awareness of the person, the people who were in contact with him also underwent timely diagnosis.

"Now he is successfully completing his TB treatment and we are just happy with another small big victory" - summed up the representatives of TBpeople Ukraine.

Assistance was provided by TBpeople Ukraine within the framework of the TB-REP 2.0 project with the support of the PAS Center.
